The concert was streamed live from Wigmore Hall and made available to watch online for 30 days afterwards. Clips from the recital are available to watch on Independent Opera's YouTube channel.
From 2005-2020, Independent Opera nurtured and invested in over 120 outstanding emerging artists.
In 2020 we were thrilled to present four of the UK’s finest young singers alongside renowned pianist Christopher Glynn, celebrating the spirit of folk music through the works of the great song composers. The evening programme also featured a world première from composer Ben Foskett and poet Keaton Henson.
The IO Voice Scholarship was a £5,000 award which supported singers' tuition fees. Award recipients were offered the opportunity to perform in the annual recital at the Wigmore Hall and attend mentoring events with leading industry professionals.
